As I was writing,
I could find nothing more to say.
Pausing I looked upward
And discovered the rainbow.
Wonderfully out of place
How long it had been there
I don’t know.
But there it was,
High in the Sky.
A sign for me of welcome,
An invitation to explore
To find the beautiful and extraordinary
Beyond my current thoughts.
As if what was beyond and not yet thought
Was there and here.
Outside me and already inside,
Waiting to guide me
Hand in hand
To where I had not yet been.
